Goodwin Procter (DC) ding this evening in the form of a very poorly written email from an unmasked, listserv-type email address. Strange.

I wonder what it means to not have a callback and not have received a ding email/mail. I have a handful of those -- with both CBs and dings reported.Anonymous User wrote:Goodwin Procter (DC) ding this evening in the form of a very poorly written email from an unmasked, listserv-type email address. Two likely scenarios:Anonymous User wrote:I wonder what it means to not have a callback and not have received a ding email/mail. 1) You are borderline for them. They like you, but they liked some others more than you. So they are brining them in first. However, in the event they are socially awkward and or if they can't get enough to accept their offers, they will then make a second or even third wave of CBs (of which you are currently grouped).
2.) The different practice groups may take longer than others to review. So the students with CBs and dings might be all engineering kids, and the life science group has not had enough time to review the applicants.
Either way, no news is good news for you! Well...kinda....waiting for a decision suucccckksss.

I suppose that no news is good news. I also went on a couple CBs already, so now also waiting for offers. I think as soon as the first offer comes through, I will feel more at ease.Anonymous User wrote:Two likely scenarios:Anonymous User wrote:I wonder what it means to not have a callback and not have received a ding email/mail. Did anybody else who interviewed with Kilpatrick Townsend get the EEO form to fill out? Not sure what that was all about or if that means I may be in line for a callback.

I just said this in another thread, but I'm bored so...jgalgano wrote:Did anybody else who interviewed with Kilpatrick Townsend get the EEO form to fill out? Not sure what that was all about or if that means I may be in line for a callback.
i don't think it =CB unfortunately although all CB people will get one.me wrote:Firms do this because they want to keep track of the racial and gender makeup of their applicant pool. I got one from a firm I mass mailed and never heard from aside from that form. My cynical interpretation is that they do it so if they were sued for employment discrimination, they would be able to point to the proportion of applicants that were certain races or genders to show that they hired in proportion to the pool. (see, only 3% of the pool was black, so we actually exceeded that with our 4% black SA class....)

Re: Loyola Patent Fair 2012
I've only heard back from 2/17 of my screeners, feeling extremely frustrated from the total silence. Anyone else in a similar boat? Both the firms I heard back from were CBs, so at least that's keeping my hopes barely alive, but it seems odd to have heard literally nothing from almost every firm. Almost all smaller west coast prosecution places, with a few big firms.

do you mean that you've only heard from 2, and you are missing 15?Anonymous User wrote:I've only heard back from 15/17 of my screeners, feeling extremely frustrated from the total silence.
