If we do mailings, should we include our GPA on our resume? I know it was frowned upon for OCI, but I believe that at many other schools including your GPA is standard. I would hate to get thrown into the reject pile just because I didn't include a GPA. If including a GPA is advisable, then what about a percentile estimate? Is doing so just frowned upon by OCS, or is it actually against school rules?

I think most firms want you to send your transcript as well when you mass mail, so they'll see your grades. As for percentile estimate, I think that's misleading, as you can't really know for fact where you stand.

Did Paul Hastings Los Angeles send out ding letters or email yet? I know they did CB but I have not received a rejection. Should i just assume that ship left and I'm not on it?

You might be on the dreaded wait list. I know a lot of people who received ding letters.

I did a CB with them over two weeks ago and heard nothing so I'm waiting for my ding as well.

I'm sorry, but did your friends receive the ding letter this week?

I would include your GPA—firms want to know it and there is no reason to not calculate it yourself for for mass-mailings. I also agree the percentile estimate is misleading, and I believe that (unlike calculating your own GPA) estimating your class rank is prohibited in the honor code.

Called the Los Angeles office yesterday, they said interviewer(JO) just sent his resumes in and they will be deciding on CBs todayish. Meaning CBs should hopefully be made sometime this week.

I replied with a " :'( " to my ding e-mail from a V30 firm; they got back to me, told me that they feel really bad, and that they will be reconsidering my application. This might be worth a go for people who aren't doing too well.

I'm still waiting on Weil, Kirkland, Fried Frank, and Gibson Dunn as well (received a callback from STB, didn't interview at the rest). I thought I saw someone post earlier in the thread that Fried Frank had sent an e-mail reject. Other than that, I haven't heard anything.

Never too late to mass-mail, my friend. 3 CBs is not worth panicking over, but I would always mass mail when in doubt.

For all the grief OCS gets, the only thing I would ever criticize them on is the importance of mass-mailing. A workshop/tutorial/something should've been given as I think it is a more important piece than people realize (especially for median-ish students). Otherwise, I think OCS has been a pretty good resource.
