3/11 here.. 1 call back so far; 3 of the remaining 8 have gotten back to students with both positive and negative news. I am driving myself crazy and it has only been a week! I am resisting the big urge and voice in me to contact each of the remaining 8 and inquire about the status of my application.

While we are on the topic of firms that have not contacted students yet, do the ip boutique firms with only one office typically contact students to set up call back interviews? Or, do they make offers based upon your PLIP interview/application materials?

Ding from Hickman via snail.
Now 0/4, 5 more to go... The 0/9 is becoming a reality.
I have 35 preselects between PLIP, Diversity Fairs, and OCI. Is it possible to go 0/35 on callbacks? Is there a TLS record for that sort of thing?

I wouldn't complain about having 35 preselects.Anonymous User wrote:Ding from Hickman Palermo via snail.

If they are all going badly, you need to think about your interview strategy.

Why resist?I am resisting the big urge and voice in me to contact each of the remaining 8 and inquire about the status of my application.
I asked the same question earlier, and oddly, got no useful replies. TLS is a wealth of resources in such matters (despite the remarkable number of people who post authoritatively of topics they know nothing about), yet my simple question of whether it is appropriate to call interviewers and inquire about status after a couple of weeks went largely unanswered.
So perhaps you can answer this for me.

Snail mail dings from Drinker Biddle and Banner & Witcoff -- My worst interviews. Also got 2 CBs so far from my best screeners. The rest remains silent. Consolation: I am a good judge of interview performance... (which doesn't bode well for the first CB I attended).

It hasn't yet been a month. At the month mark, I would say it is ok to call if you have heard nothing at all. Other than that, sit tight.Anonymous User wrote:Why resist?I am resisting the big urge and voice in me to contact each of the remaining 8 and inquire about the status of my application.

As to why, you dont want to be bothering them. They remember you, all the call can do at this point is annoy them or make you seem desperate.

Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
bio. 2 cbs so far out of 3 preselects. third firm silent even after email follow up.
a possible cb from resume drop.
i'm pretty happy with the situation, though I was really bummed with 3 screening interviews to start with.

Is there such thing as a LOCI for employers?
Got an email from a small firm that says that they're still interested, but are not inviting me to their first round of CBs, but if they hold a second round, I'm invited.

Yea, I'd send something. Say, that you are grateful for continued consideration, and that you'd love a change to interview again.Anonymous User wrote:Is there such thing as a LOCI for employers?
