Is this true? I've always been taught that you write a thank you email.
I've heard that it's not typical for firms, but I'm not sure about non-firm positions.
Huh good to know. I always hated writing those things.
Here's a succinct take on it:

Somehow, somewhere along the way, one letter in my email address got deleted from my resume. I have no idea when it happened or how many employers have the wrong version. Can I hope that they won't ding me or am I totally fucked?

i think this is only true for OCI but 1L firm interviews should generally be followed up

I sent thank yous to all my interviewers for 1L firm jobs - I got a reply back on most of them & generally they seemed really well-received. Maybe it's the nature of the secondary market though

I've gotten offers at both, and am having trouble deciding. I know that EDNY allows interns to speak in court (has anyone here done this?), but SDNY seems a little more competitive, which makes me think the work might be more substantive? I looked through the boards, but couldn't find much.
Also is there a difference between the types of cases they do? (the websites seem to indicate the same general themes, but idk if this is true in practice).
no advice? =[

This question can't be answered without direct, personal experience with either office. I'd say just pick the one closer to your apartment. It wouldn't make a difference for future employment at all.

Anyone know if we can we expect to get dings back from 1L SAs (both diversity and non-diverse SAs) or will they just never let us know that we're out of the running?

Anyone else do Verizon's 1L program?
Past threads make it seem unorganized and convoluted.
I did a video interview where you record your responses to canned questions and then responded to a request for more info. Not sure if the video interview counts as a first round interview or what.

I applied last year, did the (super awkward) video interview, got an email saying they wanted to move forward with the interview process, then never heard back again (despite requesting a few updates) until the official ding came in like June. Seemed very disorganized.

Forgot how much applying for jobs sucks. Feels like I am just spinning documents off into a black hole.
Anyone have experience with the LCLD 1L Scholars program?

It feels like you're spinning documents off into a black hole, but don't worry, someone out there will get them and carefully take the time to send you physical rejection letters for at least the next six months.

Sure--I sent out apps on Dec. 1 and 2, I attend CCN, and my GPA is 3.67; I should add though that the hiring partner strongly suggested that it was much more about fit than it was about grades, even though great fit wouldn't overcome really bad grades

Awesome stats glad to hear it, I'm at a T20 with a slightly lower GPA and have only heard back from one, but I applied early-mid Jan so maybe the applying early thing really is the way to go. Mind sharing your market?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
