Got Mckisney IWIA invite and an official first round case interview invite. weird. Did anyone get both emails?
Did 1 email have a link + your password, and the other email have full instructions & the same link? Is that what you mean by "both emails"?

not OP. I have two emails: 1) IWIA email, and 2) email to update biographical information (including office preferences).

does anyone have something different, e.g., something that lets you set up a first-round time?

Same. There's 1 email with a password that links to "IWIA" slot selection.

Then there's another email with "Invitation" in the title that links to the same IWIA page and explicitly says "password in a separate email."

Wondering if that's what OP is talking about or if s/he got a "here's a IWIA...actually, you can bypass IWIA, here's another '1st round' (instead of 'initial') invite"

Ha. I never got the invitation email. I only got the password email, and when I used the password it had me select an IWIA timeslot. Maybe they're just disorganized?

PSA: I just found the email with the subject line "McKinsey & Company - Interview Invitation" in my spam folder.

Specifically, it was in the spam folder of my HLS gmail account, so it wasn't even in the spam folder of the gmail I forwarded my email to.

Glad I checked.

update for McKinsey emails for fellow McKinsey applicants: I have emailed them and got everything clarified. No, I don't get to bypass the IWIA test, it was just bizarre miscommunication between the recruiter and me.( my official invite was also in spam, so total of 4 emails )
