half the time i think all these anon posters are the same person spreading rumors/gossip and the other half of the time i am hopeful that these anons are telling the truth.. now i kind of see what DF was saying about talking about callbacks is a bad idea

I still think it's useful to know when CBs have gone out. (At least in my case, hope springs eternal, which is not always a good thing.) What I don't think is useful at all are people who very loudly talk about scheduling their numerous CBs (like stage whispering in a mock whining tone: how am I going to fit these six callbacks in before classes start? seriously, that's part of a conversation I had to overhear yesterday afternoon/this morning, can't recall, almost verbatim).

Edit: And I think people probably are not lying on TLS about having gotten a CB. Or I have too much faith in people, idk.

those fake stage whispers are exactly why I don't trust all these anons hahah and especially when people say they know someone who got a CB from xyz firm but when asked who, they say they promised not to tell or say "oh, i don't want to gossip."

Why would anyone do that... Don't let your personal disappointment make you bitter towards others who are trying to be helpful. I like this forum because it's not like bragging, since most of the posts are anonymous.

Hewlett Packard has a bunch of interview slots open today. Walk into their hospitality suite and they'll give you one. Palo Alto, Philly, DC, and Houston offices.

I'm sure you know, but Schiff's CBs are way different than anything you will get at another firm. Make sure you are prepared for that 1 hour all behavioral interview. They can ask almost the same question more than once just reworded and it can be tough to keep coming up with new scenarios (example of a time you didn't know what to do...example of a time you were in a difficult situation). What's a good screener-to-callback ratio? I've gotten some callbacks, but also some dings at firms where I was well within their GPA range and felt like the interview had gone well.
