so....is it acceptable to email the interviewers from OCI to ask where you are in the application process?

I'm asking since I imagine emailing the recruiting coordinators wont get much of a response cuz they're swamped with all sorts of email...I've called a couple and it seems almost impossible to reach them.

I interviewed there early this week and was told not to expect anything until next week at the earliest.

I've done this quite a bit recently. I'm targeting a smaller market, and I emailed my interviewers to say that I'll be in that area next week and would love a chance to interview at the firm's office there. My interviewers usually responded saying that they would forward my email to the proper recruiting personnel (some didn't respond at all). I sent maybe 10 emails to this effect and got 2 callbacks scheduled from it. Also got 2 dings, but hey, all you need is one.

I guess it makes sense since recruiting ppl are more likely to open an email from an attorney as supposed to the hoards of emails from students.
