Well...that means I will be hovering around my mailbox (as Wachtell seems pretty old school and may not use email for this sort of thing).

So weird that some people get dinner invites before CB's, and some get CB's but haven't gotten dinner invite (though I'd imagine its coming).

This process just seems so incredibly random. V5 with an ok interview...CB. Less grade-conscious firm in a quasi-secondary market where I have a house and had a great interview...ding.

Cleary ding via email. No surprise there. Not a single one of the 10 or so "elite" firms I interviewed with called me back. Really thought I had decent odds at getting a CB from 1 or 2 since I'm not at all a bad interviewer.

Just came back from my first CB in DC. They sent me on Acela (business class) and put me up in a really nice hotel. The actual interview was...mediocre. I don't really feel like I connected with anyone, though everyone was really nice.

At least I got a free trip to DC...

Oh, maybe they just do different things for different offices. My CB is for NY. I would guess this means a CB for you for whatever office you interviewed for.
