2 OCI interviews?
Were you just extremely picky about choosing which schools you submitted app's too?
1 callback and you got an offer. Sounds like you got extremely lucky.
Though your numbers certainly should have gotten you a lot further in OCI

Most of the firms that I wanted to work at were not at OCI, so I didn't bid many OCI firms.

And I'm not sure that being extremely lucky is the reason I got an offer.

Having a small handful of interviews, getting an offer from your #1 from 22 cover letters (spammed?) seems pretty damn lucky. Not saying you're not qualified. The random chance that the right firm picked up your random resume is like spinning a giant roulette wheel.

Has anyone heard from Kirkland LA or Chicago yet? OCI ended over 3 weeks ago and somehow I have heard nothing from either office.

Just got snail-mail dinged by Kirkland LA, about 3 weeks after OCI. Kirkland LA office has gone from 120 lawyers to 75 lawyers over the past year, mostly due to people leaving (a group went to Jones Day, a group went to Jenner & Block, and there were more), and is in jeopardy of closing up shop. Its unlikely they take any more than a couple of summers, if any.

Edit - I wish I had known this info before I bid them #1 for OCI bids!!!

Kirkland Chicago made some callback calls a little over a week ago. They're interviewing over the next couple of weeks.

Ended up with 4 callbacks, got 3 rejects in the mail, and then the last firm I interviewed with extended an offer that I have accepted.

I feel very fortunate and, for the first time in a while, at ease.

A T-14 in New York. Those who have heard from V&E's NYC office have had callbacks, no word on offers after that.

Baker (Chicago) is the ONLY firm from OCI I haven't heard from yet.

Portland, ME and Manchester, NH. No science background, but I do have big firm experience and some local connections.

I was mostly joking about the looks thing, and I agree with your overall lawyer/looks assessment. I am a strong interviewer, though, which appears to be very important right now. There are LR students at my school with 20+ interviews and zero callbacks.

I don't know? They're secondary to Boston, primary in their respective states. I don't know how it's being defined here.

I had a call back with Jones Day - Dallas this past Thursday (Sept. 10) . . . they told me it would be about 10 days to 2 weeks before I should expect to hear anything.
