Well they are super selective, if you are USC/UCLA you have to be in top 10% or they won't even consider you.

Selective also meaning ties/fit, it would seem. Top 5% at CCN here, dinged post-screener.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:GDC ding. Really hurts & sucks, top firm I wanted and clicked well. OCI freaking sucks.

Did anybody hear from Sheppard DTLA this past Friday? I saw that earlier ITT somebody received an offer the Friday before, but wanted to know if they made any offers 2 days ago, or maybe the hiring committee decided to wait it out a week and see how many people accept previous offers.

OP of the quotes here. Dinged post-CB, which makes it worse but I know that they only take 1 (maybe 2) from my school every year. I was within the GPA cutoff at my school. Also have great ties and am not an "aspie" as far as I know and have heard from other firms/interviewers (great fit with the firm at least from my original feeling).Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone been dinged post-CB? I would be thrilled at receiving a $10,000 check every month.Anonymous User wrote:So of the people with Manatt offers, anyone accepted yet? I am considering the pros/cons right now. Kind of disappointed they start at 125K

For people with loans, after taxes that could be $30K less in your pocket. If someone had a 160K offer vs. Manatt it would be hard to justify unless Manatt is a lot less hours of work (which it might be?)

I've only heard that manatt is hard hard hours. For 125 one should really weigh the options. 20-35k is not an insignificant difference
