Generally partners have high expectations for availability and work product, not really a shocker. It sucks to get chased on things quickly or receive a markup that points out you are wrong, but I've not worked with anyone who went out of their way to belittle or be mean when doing those things. I mostly work with the same people though so could just be my experience.

Huge firm so I'm sure there's some but I'm just not familiar.

Jennifer Selendy (from Selendy Gay) is an absolute nightmare.

Matt Levy at Proskauer. Pretends to be nice but is a total ass.

Anyone have bad experiences with partners in Paul Hastings white collar?
For what it's worth I've heard Brad Bondi is horrible to work with, a tyrant, as well as being insanely pro-MAGA.

Not the same guy. The one you're talking about was at DLA before going to GDC and now joining a small boutique.

DLA has another lawdad type who's obnoxious on LinkedIn.
Is it Matt Schwartz? If so, I agree with the above - any BigLaw partner that posts THAT frequently on LinkedIn must have an issue or two...

Any names to watch out for at Freshfields?
David Livshiz recently made partner but he has had a terrible reputation for a while now. He's a condescending control freak, especially if you are a woman, but he always acts under the guise of mentorship so often people don't realize the extent of his awfulness until they're fully integrated into his team(s). In corporate, Mena Kaplan has a terrible reputation too, but I don't have firsthand experience with him.
Can anyone provide any experiences regarding the two partners mentioned above (Livshiz and Kaplan)?

I'm legit surprised by the lack of Brad Bondi stories on TLS. He definitely fits the title of this thread.

Scott Rolnik, who was formerly at Ropes and now at Kirkland. Will keep you in his office or on the phone all night -- think 8pm to 6am -- while he reviews a draft you sent him three weeks ago. Will go back and forth between berating you and then, when he remembers he needs you, praising you. Overall toxic and abusive.
