Did anyone else just get an invite to a Simpson Thatcher Diversity Callback Reception without having received an actual callback?

Not STB, but I had a similar thing happen with Skadden a little while ago. Got a reception invite before the actual CB came in (and it did come in a bit later).

I'd think it's a good sign?

Do some firms just not even tell you if they don't want you for a callback? Or can I count on at least getting an email?

YMMV. Last year some emailed, some used snail mail, and I'm pretty sure I just never heard from some.

Got a Fenwick CB on Friday. Other SF CBs I haven't seen listed: Sidley, Pillsbury.

San Francisco, although they mentioned I could interview at either office, so I'm not sure how separate the processes were.
