Just out of curiosity, how many screeners do you guys have scheduled? I thought my bid list was a success until I heard of people with many, many more interview slots than me.

I got 15 through bidding, picked up 2 more through Waitlists, and 2 more through open signups.

A partner at a very large Chicago law firm lists on her bio that she received a half tuition merit scholarship to NU back in the day. Weird. This isn't something people normally put on their resumes, right?

Yes - I also received a named scholarship that I put on my resume too. Have you had to write a thank you note this year yet? Chances are you are receiving one of the named scholarships that the school has.Anonymous User wrote:A partner at a very large Chicago law firm lists on her bio that she received a half tuition merit scholarship to NU back in the day. Listing that on a bio is kind of lame though. The only thing I've seen is the John Henry Wigmore scholarship listed on bios.

Re: Northwestern OCI 2015
OCS told me to put my ED scholarship on there, but several contacts at big firms told me not to. Along with possibly looking douchey, it broadcasts that the firm has less leverage over you. GPA is the only number that matters anyway. If you're a partner, I suppose you can do whatever the hell you want, though.

Latham & Watkins ding, by email. So if you don't hear today, you're probably at least on the consideration list.

Had a horrible screener today. Mind blown. Would rather be in retail than work with that guy.

I think i know which firm... were there 2 male interviewers and the firm specialized in a certain type of law? If so, yes, those guys were jerks.Anonymous User wrote:Had a horrible screener today. Mind blown. Would rather be in retail than work with that guy.

The bad screener? There must have been more than one. My guy had degrees in something impressive but failed to impress in areas like showing up for the interview. When he finally did show, he mentioned how many good people his firm fired during the recession. <facepalm>
