How long after a callback is a call/email to the head of legal recruiting asking for an update appropriate?

Lots of interviews and CBs already, I'm somewhat surprised. I mass mailed on Dec 1 with little to no expectations, but ended up with better grades than I anticipated but the only responses I got were "send your grades when you get them," hopefully stuff is still open.

My SO got a Jones Day rejection today in Dallas. I have not been dinged, however.

Also, have a callback for a nondiversity SA at a firm post-phone screener.

Is it a better idea to schedule a CB early enough where you go out to lunch with attys afterwards?

In-house interview request at F500 after applying less than 48 hours. Pretty stoked.

CB interview complete at V30 (without grades).

No word from Jones Day NYC even though I applied weeks ago. No word from Cooley after phone interview. Still applying throughout these 50 states until I have a decent offer in hand.

GL to those retuning back this week! Don't know how I'm going to excuse myself from classes if I have to travel for the positions I really want.
