CB on Mon, offer on Wednesday. So I can imagine that someone with a CB after Tuesday would have to wait almost a week to hear about an offer.Anonymous User wrote:Did this day happen to be a Tuesday? still waiting on a CB from a lot of places. What should I do if I haven't gotten them and it has been more than two weeks? Should I just hang in there and wait? Should I call the firms?

If they haven't called, they either aren't going to or will later. Probably shouldn't call them.

What I've been doing:Anonymous User wrote:still waiting on a CB from a lot of places. What should I do if I haven't gotten them and it has been more than two weeks? Should I just hang in there and wait? Should I call the firms?
Once I have one CB in a given non-NY market, I contact all the firms in that market that I haven't heard from since EIP. If I'm flying out there, I'd prefer to only do it once.
Once I have an offer from a firm in a given market, I contact all the firms that I've CB'ed with in that market, and tell them that I have an offer from that market, but I really do prefer their firm based on my CBs and when might I have a response? If they ask when your other offer expires, you can basically pretend you got an offer as early as, say, Thursday after EIP and count 4 weeks out from that.
Before anyone has a shitfit about misleading firms... you really fucking think they don't bullshit *us*?

No. You don't lie about when you got an offer.Anonymous User wrote:What I've been doing:Anonymous User wrote:still waiting on a CB from a lot of places. What should I do if I haven't gotten them and it has been more than two weeks? Should I just hang in there and wait? Should I call the firms?

Same. Since tomorrow marks ~2 weeks from EIP I think it's about time to remind them that I exist, reemphasize that I'm very interested in their firm, etc. I agree with the above post that calling seems a bit presumptuous, I'll be sending emails.

Re: Columbia EIP 2012 Superthread
OP here -- Just know a lot about your interviewers and engage with them substantively on what they do and how it fits into the firm and how you could contribute to that area (if you're interested in it particularly). Re the firm itself -- you also should know as much about as possible but also ask questions about it beyond what you'd ask at a screener. Also, tailor your questions based on whether you're meeting with a partner or an associate. Honestly the callback was very standard for me; be yourself, and be super interested, and that should suffice.Anonymous User wrote:Do you mind giving a brief overview about what the CB was like? It would certainly help if I still remembered my screener's name and they weren't taken down off the site.Anonymous User wrote:
