We've only had one week of OCI; I'll update as interviews go on.
14 interviews (2 non-OCI)
7 callbacks
5 rejections
2 ?? I'm guessing rejections.
Market is Chicago. Slow as molasses.
I sent out about 20 non-OCI letters. Two dings, two callbacks. The rest, nothing.

I'll second that. Chicago is reeeeeaaaallly slow. I just got a callback 3.5 weeks after OCI (and they didn't do them in waves, no one at my school had heard from this firm)Anonymous User wrote:Update:Anonymous User wrote:T14

Just like everything else, it varies by firm. What is with people spewing this absolutely inaccurate information without anything to back it up?Anonymous User wrote:A week for good news -- within 10 days. Longer for bad.Anonymous User wrote:timeline from CB to offer?

Re: OCI callbacks thread
Depends on whether firms do rolling hiring or not (some don't). In which case they wait till their main OCI callbacks are done. If you have an early callback, it can be a while.ToTransferOrNot wrote:Just like everything else, it varies by firm. Re: OCI callbacks thread
Right, because the interviews stated "We don't do rolling offers--we'll be making all of our offers in about three weeks" to a group of 3 people doing callbacks, BEFORE we actually did any of our interviews. Clearly, if you don't hear within 10 days, that is a ding.Anonymous User wrote:sorry you got dingedToTransferOrNot wrote:Just like everything else, it varies by firm. Lots of firms are not doing rolling offers this year.
You're a moron.

Similar to such tension above... anyone notice a hyper-competitive/secretive/anxious atmosphere around school while people are waiting on callbacks, have gotten none, etc.?

Re: OCI callbacks thread
I think being secretive to some degree is a good solution.
I only talk about my callbacks/offers with those who I know have done well with regards to callbacks. Otherwise I keep my mouth shut, and in public I keep my mouth shut. No need to stress out other students or make them feel bad.
If I had no callbacks I would probably keep my mouth shut too.

However, I have noticed a smugness coming from those at the bottom of the class with regard to everyone who is either still flailing through the interview process or those who are in the 0 callback range. Almost a "haha, see where busting your ass got you?"
The real fallout may just come with the trickle down that comes with so many qualified students getting dinged now.
