Have you expressed a strong interest in transactional or lit? It might behoove you to pick one and go for it hard if you're wavering right now in your interviews.

Otherwise it might definitely be some of your interview answers and how you're coming off to your interviewers.

I have median grades and three years of decent work experience. I have also been expressing a strong interest in transactional work. I guess I'll meet with OCS and try to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Any tips on how to address a 1L firm experience? I don't want to sound like I'm bragging during interviews, but I do want to mention it.

Bring it up if it's relevant to the conversation. If not, then don't bring it up. They can clearly see it on your resume.

So open sign up is basically a joke. I know OCS recommends approaching an interviewer during their break to try and snag an interview, but that seems incredibly awkward. Should you email the recruiting contact on nalp for the office you want? I figure since it's two days out they might respond in time.

That seems incredibly awkward? You should probably get over yourself and just do it. The only time it's inappropriate is before right before someone has a screener. Before interviews start or during a break is totally fine.
