But man, getting calls from unknown Chicago numbers that aren't employers suuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Especially right after someone posts on here that they received a CB on Saturday.

The spreadsheet is kind of confusing. So individual results are not being record? Cause you got dings and CB's in the same row.

Yes unfortunately. Last year that was the case in all except one instance where an interviewer did some CBs in the evening then finished up in the morning. I literally knew of zero instances of someone getting a NY OCI CB 2 or more days after the screeners.

E- I don't disagree with the poster above me and certainly don't want to incite panic because it's waaaaayyyy too early for that, just trying to help you manage expectations. It's certainly possible for a call to come later just remote.
stop it, you're scaring the 2Ls.

2Ls should wait at least 48 hours before panicking. some firms are slower than others and some nyc firms do two waves of callbacks. it varies depending on the size of the firm and how many spots they have left. you're not even done with week 1. it's too early to worry about no callbacks.

edit: didn't mean to be anonymous (your favorite property professor)
48 hours later. Panic time.

If your waiting on some of the big NYC firms (PW excluded) that interviewed TR and Fri, I wouldn't panic yet. Despite what 3Ls have said about 24-48 hrs, I had a couple interviewers actually tell me not to expect a decision until early next week

at LEAST 48 hours before panicking.

were you were hoping for a specific firm? don't do that. vault rankings are stupid and most firms pay the same.

This is a dumb question, but how do you pronounce "Debevoise"? Is it "Deb-a-voice"? Tia b/c I'd prefer not to screw up my screener next week

I thought about adding extra rows or columns to contain individual data, but it would have made the sheet kind of huge so I just went with the current style. If it shows a pre-CB ding and a CB invite, it is pretty obvious that those are two separate people, though.
yeah i know, but then the individualized portion with grades, LR, etc is pointless.

as it stands right now the sheet makes it look like all the CB's are going to some 181 LR guy. might be a little discouraging for lurking 0L/1L's

As one 181 LR guy, there is apparently another with the exact GPA who's getting CBs at places I'm getting dinged (and perhaps vice versa?). So I guess it's two 181 LR guys.

it does look like that, but that's mostly because it seems like no one else is posting their GPA's

they fucked up with this last year too. weird that it would happen again.
I got an e-mail ding from Cooley. I didn't even bid them. Also, it was addressed to a classmate, not me.

Edit: I think I bid them and then cancelled.

one of K&E/Sidley pre-OCI CB scheduled. Don't know where the pre-OCI section went but I was going to fill it in. Good grades, no Chi ties.

Sorry, I just decided to get rid of the outside-of-OCI tab because that seems more like personal success and based on some of the comments on here, nobody wants to hear about each other's personal success unless that information somehow benefits them.
Yeah but I thought it would be helpful for future OCIer's to know that they are talking to people before OCI. I wasn't even bidding on Chicago firms.

Yeah, Mal saved me right before my interview with "Fried" Frank by correcting my pronunciation of that firm's name as well.
*firmwise*

*walks over to Weil table*

me: "So how did you guys decide to join...."

*forgets what table this is, looks down at name tag for firm name*

JA: Weil?

*nods*

JA: blah blah blah for a few min, any other questions?

Me: No you've answered all my questions, I look forward to interviewing with *looks at table* Wheel in the fall!

*doesn't bother bidding*

Future OCI people: mass mailing is real. I have an offer from my preferred secondary market. It's an amazing firm and my favorite city besides Chicago. It's made OCI much more relaxed and I've gotten great callbacks partially because I feel great walking in. Mass mail the day grades come out in July.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
