UPDATED:

T20/3.9X GPA (roughly top 5%)/LR + MC/targeting two secondary markets with extremely strong ties to one -- limited geographic flexibility
1 half day interview based on resume only
1 screening interview
14 OCI interviews completed (2 more to go)
4 callbacks -- only in the market w/ strong family ties
1 firm told me mid-interview that they cancelled their summer program
no rejections (they're probably in the mail)
Two callbacks were made on the spot. The rest were in the usual time frame.

Just finished OCI today..

T10, guessing around top 1/3, but barely, journal

25 interviews, 5 callbacks (pretty scattered amongst the V100). 4 major market 1 secondary

Realistically that could be all I'm getting but theres 1 or 2 i had today/yesterday I think i may still have a shot at.

The economy is simply too bad for attending say Stanford over Chicago , in and of itself , to guaranatee that you will get the job you want. At this point your grades and whether or not you are on LR, moot court, etc. combined with your school's prestige is going to matter more than a one level bump in prestige (ie CC to HYS). I rather be top 20 percent at Columbia and on LR than just above median at Harvard.

That said I find it hard to believe that a HYS student on LR is not going to get some sort of decent job.

Yes. I know at least six people at my school (HYS) who struck out. Conferring with a friend at another HYS, it seems people have either 0-1 CBs or 6+. Very few people are somewhere in the middle.

As you might imagine, people are freaking out.

i find it hard to believe that HYS LR members are striking out. there are lots of transfers that are doing decent (3-5), and quite a few with 10+. it has to have to do with interviewing, if anything.
