2022 Pre-OCI Megathread Forum

I’m hearing from people that most firms are are basically full or have called most everyone they’re calling for callbacks.

Have all callbacks gone out by now? I have a callback next week (had 2 last week that I haven’t heard from) so getting nervous.

i haven't heard across the board, source? i do think skadden NY and latham NY are full based on anecdata of kids at my school and me seeing other people say so on here and reddit and DPW NY almost (based on pre-OCI offers to those at my T14 and DPW refusing to give offer extensions because i think they need to reallocate)

but haven't heard this on others. CSM and GDC notoriously refused to do pre-OCI interviews although GDC NY is flipping CB to offer in less than 24 hours in some cases

DPW gave me a cb yesterday. Skadden NY was giving out cbs at least as of tuesday, but definitely less than prior years. Latham NY is giving (limited) cbs out today I've heard.

Edit: Deb seemed very low on slots compared to other firms. I had a good interview w/ them, am right on/above their median hire, and got dinged this morning. Only people I know with Deb cbs from OCI are like DC lit quality people.

Granted this is all based on my T6's very late OCI, so maybe these firms saved us a few slots? Unclear.

wow...good to know about Deb. out of all the interviews I had, this one went the best by far and I even had the most senior partner I spoke to email me afterwards very heavily implying I got the position ("we'd all love to see you at debevoise...let me check with recruiting to make sure everything is good on our end") so the ding really messed with my confidence and made me rethink an otherwise solid interview. i wonder what is spurring this...were they active pre-oci?

My school's OCS advisor said that they have a more leanly staffed recruitment team and didn't hand out that many pre-OCI interviews at my T6 school.

If you don't mind me asking, how many days passed between the CB and the ding?

which day did you interview? heard people say 6 days, so I kinda get the vibe that it's consistently wednesday

Has anybody heard from Latham LA recently? Had a cb about 2 weeks ago, sent a competing offer this past Friday, and got told that I should know this week. Getting a bit antsy given the extremely long timeline here.

Anyone with CBs at S&C/DPW monday hear back yet? Saw someone on reddit post that S&C got back to him in one day, and we're looking at EOB at two days and I'm scared a ding's incoming
