Thank you. Shame lists are the way to go. My guess is that hogan, AP, Covington, and JD will stay on this list for a while.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 4:01 pmFor those wondering, these seem to be the only v40s that haven’t announced a match yet:
V4 - Sullcrom
V9 - Gibson
V13 - Quinn
V15 - Covington
V16 - jones day (lol of course)
V20 - Williams and Connolly
V21 - Wilmer
V26 - omelveny
V27 - hogan
V29 - BSF
V32 - Arnold and porter
V33 - baker McKenzie
V34 - orrick
V38 - King and Spaulding
V39 - Mayer brown
Once you drop below 40 it seems like a lot more firms haven’t made an announcement yet so I stopped here.
Is this list right? Does anyone else need to be shamed or removed from the list of shame?

Arnold & PorTTTer will stay on this list for a long time--maybe eternity. A&P is too cheap to pay us. They never even acknowledged the bonuses last fall. Cov matched, Wilmer matched, Hogan matched (superficially). They'll probably send us a bonus memo tomorrow as an April Fool's Day joke.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 4:36 pmThank you. Williams and Connolly are their own thing, they won't make any sort of announcement, and probably neither will JD. Wilmer should match and AP won't, so only drama in DC is whether Cov/Hogan join the Wilmer camp or slum it with AP.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 4:36 pmThank you. Just as a FYI, all (or at least all in my sample size) S&C comp decisions are announced on Wednesday afternoons after the partners meeting, so they were almost certainly just waiting last week and then pulled the trigger this week. If you go back and look at ATL, you can set your watch to this pattern.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 5:49 pmGrumpy OP here. Gibson's partnership is often slow to move. I am confident it will match. Williams & Connolly and Jones Day have their own systems and I am confident they will not match. I cannot predict Covington.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 6:24 pmso gibson is the only v10 that still hasnt announced?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 6:14 pmJust as a FYI, all (or at least all in my sample size) S&C comp decisions are announced on Wednesday afternoons after the partners meeting, so they were almost certainly just waiting last week and then pulled the trigger this week. No inside knowledge, but ManagemenTTT said they’d be more transparent in the future after keeping us in the dark last time. Bet they weren’t planning on this. Time to put your money where your mouth is — oh wait, that’d mean taking it out of partner pockets.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 5:32 pmAny inside knowledge re: AP? Not enough Gibson shaming in this thread. They’re always shady about bonuses. I don’t know why they can’t just be normal and go along with the market in a reasonable time frame.

Not a shaming post, but does anyone have an idea when DLA will pay May bonuses? Beginning or end of May?

Do we expect any non JD or Williams and Connolly V40 not to match?

Re: 2021 Special Bonuses
AP, Hogan. Possibly Covington. All three have way lower PEP than the rest of V40. At the very least these firms might do some sketchy half measures and not really match market. I think Hogan did that with last year’s special bonuses.
K&S might take a while even if it matches.

I'd also keep my eye on BSF and Baker McKenzie. I'm particularly interested to see what BSF does. If AP doesn't match, I'd expect anyone with decent options to leave.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 7:53 amAP, Hogan. Possibly Covington. All three have way lower PEP than the rest of V40. A&P and CovingTTTon have only equity partners, which prevents them from playing games with PPP. Don't buy into the party line.
