Just got an email from Mayer Brown acknowledging recent of my materials I sent on 7/14... does this mean absolutely anything or am I trying waaaay to hard to read the tea leaves?

I had a CB around then but heard back on the 15th. However recruiting had mentioned at the CB that it can typically take up to a week to hear back.

I've heard people heard things, but also know friends who have lied to save face. Be nice around campus. So many classmates don't have offers yet.. even at top schools. Dropped into OCS (T6) and they basically told me it's been a bloodbath this year compared to years prior and I should be thankful for my Cbs/offers.

V20 senior associate here and work a lot with one of the hiring partners who says that recent raise to 190+summer bonus/fear/memory of 2008 has made/should make us in our reviews more selective

From what I can tell, seems a few people struck gold at OCI and a ton of people are on the verge of striking out, even among students with comparable credentials. It's kinda unfortunate because the folks "waitlisted" at their top choices will likely have settled and accepted elsewhere by the time the "lucky" people start declining. That said, I'm grateful for what I have, but it's super hard not to internalize it. Good luck everyone.

Anyone knows Linklaters’ CB to offer timeline? I heard they usually take a while, anyone heard quickly though?
