If we do not receive an offer for OCIJ by 5pm (est) today, does that necessarily mean we are alternates?
Thanks
Thanks

I wouldn't think so. What leads you to that conclusion?Anonymous User wrote:If we do not receive an offer for OCIJ by 5pm (est) today, does that necessarily mean we are alternates?

I had the same thought because offers were issued starting yesterday that we know of so you would think they would probably issue all the first round offers by the end of the day today and we have already seen people here that have received offers from regions in all different areas what would be the hold up for the rest of the first round offers especially if you heard back that all of your references replied back.Anonymous User wrote:I wouldn't think so. OCIJ hires 95 people. Even if it only took 10 minutes to make each offer, that's almost 16 hours of work. I don't think there's any reason to assume it's necessarily getting done in 2 days.

Did you receive a business card at your interview of the OCIJ contact person? That's probably best person to call. She's the one who makes the offers from Arlington.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know the best number to call OCIJ if you have another job offer (not from DOJ) and want to ascertain your status to see if you should hold off accepting the other offer? When I go to this link: http://www.justice.gov/legal-careers/ex ... w-contacts there are a few different contact numbers and people listed. Thanks.

Well, the last 2 years threads and 2014-2015's excel sheet, indicate that the first round of offers came out in the first 2 days. Then, the next set came out the following Monday. Then there was a 2 week break before more offers came... then they just sort of trickled in.

I am pretty sure the correct person to contact is Celia Kuiken, (703) 605-1705Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know the best number to call OCIJ if you have another job offer (not from DOJ) and want to ascertain your status to see if you should hold off accepting the other offer? But nothing says which of those offers were to primaries or alternates.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:OCIJ hires 95 people. ENRD interviewee here. Just had my Avue account update to show my official "Not Selected" status. Congrats to the finalists, and good luck in the job search to my fellow rejectees.

Re: DOJ Honors 2015-16 Megathread
Well, Deana's last post seems to give a sliver of hope to everyone, though I am not sure how much. It seems that there are still offers rolling out, along with reference checks. Is it reasonable, though, for references NOT to be checked for a first-round offer?

Yes. I don't think they are doing it by East Coast/ West Coast. It is more about the person and what they rank.Anonymous User wrote:Any EOIR OCIJ offers for west coast locations?

Did anyone get an OCIJ offer from a location that doesn't start with the letter A or B? From the previous poster it seems like yes but just want to make sure they're not doing it alphabetically.
Also, did anyone interview but NOT get selected as a finalist?

Is there anyone else here that is an ATR-DC finalist that has not received an offer?

I personally know two people who interviewed with EOIR and were not selected as finalists.Anonymous User wrote:Did anyone get an OCIJ offer from a location that doesn't start with the letter A or B? For EOIR-OCIJ, Celia is not the only person extending offers by phone from VA. From what I've heard, OCIJ has made offers from locations that don't start with A or B...I don't think they do it alphabetically.

I got an OCIJ offer on December 1 for Miami. Don't think they're offering in alphabetical order. Good luck to everyone else that's waiting!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
