Anyone hear from DC offices: A&P, S&C, or Wilmer (AO)?
Need to know when to let go.

Cadwalader CBs have gone out? Last I checked on Friday afternoon, Cadwalader (MH) hadn't gone out yet.

Orrick NY (WP) went out around same time as Orrick NY (DC). It's probably likely all 3 did theirs around the same time.

Question: Does the 24-hour response thing apply if you've been contacted Saturday night with a callback? Or can I just call them first thing Monday?

Re: HLS EIP 2015
Not sure about others, but my protocol has been the following: 1) if they leave a number to call, I call within 24 hours and leave a voicemail if no one answers (with preferred dates/times for scheduling so they can earmark me for those dates if available). Have had a couple firms get back to me today as a result; 2) if they say someone will be in touch, I send an email response thanking them and indicating I will keep an eye out for an email or phone call from recruiting.Anonymous User wrote:Question: Does the 24-hour response thing apply if you've been contacted Saturday night with a callback? Unrelated: how does one actually go about requesting a firm to be their host firm? Is there a special etiquette for this? Does it matter? Should it be the first firm in that market with which you are interviewing, or can you just arbitrarily ask one?

There was a post a few pages back saying they had sent out day-of call backs for the Chicago office.

"Should you receive a callback invitation from a firm you interview with at EIP, you should respond promptly (within 1 business day at most), even if you are unsure if you want to ultimately accept the callback." is what the HLS website says. So "one business day."Anonymous User wrote:Not sure about others, but my protocol has been the following: 1) if they leave a number to call, I call within 24 hours and leave a voicemail if no one answers (with preferred dates/times for scheduling so they can earmark me for those dates if available). Also, friendly reminder to double check your spelling of the firm name if either of you are emailing someone re: status update/thank you email!

Thanks for the reminder! It's Procter not Proctor. Just checked my follow up email, and I wrote it correctly.

Re: HLS EIP 2015
Some firms include the travel policy and the contact information for their travel agent in their callback e-mail. If not, just ask, and they will point you to their travel agent. OCS says the choice is "purely administrative" and has no bearing on the selection process otherwise. But I have heard it said that travel agents do tend to book you a hotel room near the host firm, so if the majority of your callbacks are clustered around a certain neighborhood (e.g. Midtown), it would probably be more practical for you to ask one of those firms to be the host for the trip.Anonymous User wrote:Not sure about others, but my protocol has been the following: 1) if they leave a number to call, I call within 24 hours and leave a voicemail if no one answers (with preferred dates/times for scheduling so they can earmark me for those dates if available). Re: HLS EIP 2015
did anyone who interview at McK NOT get an email? It's very generic and only asks for updated contact information, so can't tell if it's a CB/offer to 1st round interview
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
