Anyone selected as a finalist for DOJ-OCIJ got a call yet? I was selected as a finalist yesterday, no call.

I was selected as a finalist yesterday, and my references were contacted earlier this week. I have not yet received a call either.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone selected as a finalist for DOJ-OCIJ got a call yet? I was selected as a finalist yesterday, no call.

Finalist for OCIJ. No call here, and to my knowledge, no references called either. Not freaking out until next week.

Does anyone else find this a little confusing?Anonymous User wrote:Just posted by Deana Willis:

I take that to mean all finalists are basically selected, but there is an off chance some components will add more later.Anonymous User wrote:Just posted by Deana Willis:

Re: DOJ Honors 2013
I don't think that's correct. The question was about status changes on Avue. Her answer is just saying that, if and when one is selected as a finalist, one's status will probably change on Avue.Anonymous User wrote:I take that to mean all finalists are basically selected, but there is an off chance some components will add more later.Anonymous User wrote:Just posted by Deana Willis:

That's what I thought at first, but on second reading I think she means that the finalist decisions are coming in on a rolling basis, and that she hopes they'll all be in by next week. Maybe I'm just being an optimist though.Anonymous User wrote:I take that to mean all finalists are basically selected, but there is an off chance some components will add more later.Anonymous User wrote:Just posted by Deana Willis:

Is there anyone who has interviewed but has NOT been selected as a finalist at this point? Component?

That's what I think she means. Okay, this is going to sound a little like a humblebrag, which it's not meant to, but: I just got a phone call from a 703 area code, and thought I was going to pass out. However, it was NOT DOJ.
(it was a call for an interview for something else, which was very exciting! but not really any more soothing to my nerves or anything.)

do you think they would leave a message? i can't answer my phone, but I can check my messages. 2 other usg agencies have left messages before informing me of offers, wonders if doj does the same.

I like literally just heard moments ago, so they may well still call! It takes a little while to work through a phone list.Anonymous User wrote:I also applied to that program and am now doubly sad for not hearing from either.Anonymous User wrote:Another fed gov honors program. Do you guys really think offers will get extended today? Now, I'm nervous.

Status changed to Selected as Finalist sometime in the last two hours. Interviewed w/ Antitrust DC and a field office (not NY). I assume this means I'm an alternate since someone above already got an offer from DC?

Re: DOJ Honors 2013
The frustrating thing is I have no IDEA when offers will go out. It would be nice to know when to focus my nervous energy because worrying about all this is exhausting! (It seems that yes, in the past, some offers have gone out on the Friday before Thanksgiving. But whether that means any offers will go out today, and from which components, seems impossible to tell.)Anonymous User wrote:Do you guys really think offers will get extended today? Same--though I did not interview for a field office. Also same thought process regarding alternate.Anonymous User wrote:Status changed to Selected as Finalist sometime in the last two hours.
