Re: LA OCI Thread 2014
from what i'm gathering at USC, it's a crapshoot. generally top 10% is fine, some people at median are doing great, while people above median are still struggling. there was a thread on here like two years ago that said generally if you're 3.45+, you'll land big law but not comfortably...i can say this was TOTALLY misleading.Anonymous User wrote:How is it going for USC/UCLA people?? that goes to my crapshoot comment. i'm a tad above that and have not had nearly as much luck, and I know other similarly situated people in both our situations.Anonymous User wrote:Funny, that's my exact GPA. As a top top student at one of the lower LA schools, I freaking hate that. Congrats to you but damn it sucks for all of us at lower ranked schools, regardless of our individual rank.Anonymous User wrote:Funny, that's my exact GPA. Number 1 in our class still doesn't have offers, but then again he is a little aspie.

Would you say that was worse/better or even with the 2015 class at your school?

I guess it's possible but not relevant because it's probably the same.Rahviveh wrote:How is he going to answer that question? To be fair, I know of people with higher GPAs than that with far fewer callbacks and offers.Anonymous User wrote:As a top top student at one of the lower LA schools, I freaking hate that. Re: LA OCI Thread 2014
I know top students at USC/UCLA who don't have that many callbacks and offers. Then again, 3.45 poster is probably not interviewing with the same firms as the those at the top of USC/UCLA. Poster may be competitive in his/her GPA range but let's be real, it's hard for even top people at USC/UCLA to compete with T14 at OMM/MTO/etc.Anonymous User wrote:To be fair, I know of people with higher GPAs than that with far fewer callbacks and offers.Anonymous User wrote:As a top top student at one of the lower LA schools, I freaking hate that. Absolutely nothing. No email snail mail phone call. I've been hearing that this week ain't happening and that the small classes will be deciding next week on offers. Anybody know anything about this?
