I have no real interest in this (not at Loyola) but many firms do CBs on a rolling basis. They will put some students on an informal WL and grant CBs if they don't like the first bunch. So keep your head up, its not really over until you get the ding.Anonymous User wrote:Why do you figure all are out? Re: Loyola PLIP 2014 Thread - Strategies?
Pretty sure I've heard of all 10 making a CB by now. I've been keeping in touch with the 6 or so other people from my school that went to Loyola, and it sure seems like all the major firms have called at least 1 of us. I guess the tiny/odd firms may be different (i heard there was a solo practitioner interviewing there lol wtf)If they want you they're not gonna sit there 2 weeks later and let you take offers elsewhere. Plus, they are all now considering new candidates at the OCIs this past week.Anonymous User wrote:Why do you figure all are out? I suppose this could be true though, ride out that waitlist...but given they're in the process of interviewing hundreds of students at OCIs.... If I didn't make it out from a field of like 40 at Loyola, I doubt expanding this field to 400+ is going to help my odds muchAnonymous User wrote:I have no real interest in this (not at Loyola) but many firms do CBs on a rolling basis. TCR. Plus, different offices of the Same firm don't release cbs together. E.g. Got fish DC several days after Boston went out.Anonymous User wrote:I have no real interest in this (not at Loyola) but many firms do CBs on a rolling basis. Just calm the fuck down. From this thread, we can merely conclude that Only a minority of offices have taken cb action thus far.Anonymous User wrote:Pretty sure I've heard of all 10 making a CB by now. Re: Loyola PLIP 2014 Thread - Strategies?
All 10? There were like 125 firms there, many with multiple offices. Maybe the top NY firms have already issued CBs, but it seems like most here haven't heard from west coast firms/offices, many IP boutiques, and smaller firms. Not all of us at Loyola were only targeting the biggest 10 firms.Anonymous User wrote:Pretty sure I've heard of all 10 making a CB by now. I'm not throwing in the towel when I haven't heard from 16 firms and have barely seen any of those firms on the list of CBs in this thread. Look at the Loyola 2012 and 2013 threads. Many talk about CBs coming more than a week later.

Re: Loyola PLIP 2014 Thread - Strategies?
everyone needs to chill. i had a firm call me back yesterday who loved me. and it took them a week. it's gonna take a week and a half-two weeks probably for most of these callbacks to go out. One firm I interviewed with told me straight up a week and a half.
I know it sucks waiting, but we have to sit tight a few more days....

For the firms where I didn't have a PS and just did small talk and a resume drop at the hospitality suite, does that merit a ding email or letter if they pass, or do most just pretend that never happened unless CB?

Re: Loyola PLIP 2014 Thread - Strategies?
Probably the latter, as it is doubtful that you would make it into the formal recruiting process unless your interlocutors liked you enough to give you a callback.Anonymous User wrote:For the firms where I didn't have a PS and just did small talk and a resume drop at the hospitality suite, does that merit a ding email or letter if they pass, or do most just pretend that never happened unless CB?
