What do you think happens with Brooklyn DA? Their website says to check back Jan 15 for updates but I'm interested to see what the time table is for hiring a Jan 2015 class. I know that the Jan 2014 class was all re-interviewed and unsure when they start now.

The Jan 2014 class starts February 3rd.

Anyone know if the original Hynes class was actually rehired? I'm curious about how this new DA is doing things.

I've heard this from a Jan 2014 classmember, as well. That person said Thompson will be keeping them. This was a while ago, however, so I'm not sure if things are changing.

Nothing yet. Still waiting on CC and Manhattan. Although I just had my second round with Manhattan last week, and from what they said, I have a feeling a rejection is coming within the next 10 days. I am from out of town...

Had my third round in the Bronx almost 7 weeks ago. Every single day that goes by makes me crazier and crazier

If this year is like last year, based on the posts here from last year, they keep making decisions into February.

My 2nd round was November 22 and I got the letter about the 3rd round on December 9. So I had a basically a 2 week turn around

Can't hurt, but I think the gains you'd get from this is minimal. The assumption is that you're still interested, and grades don't seem to be that relevant in hiring decisions, although it can give you a slight bump if you did especially well in criminal law/procedure classes.

I agree. Although what I've been able to discern from other people that I know who have made calls/sent letters-- it simply makes them pick up your file a little more quickly and if they were already planning on hiring you, I guess it's great that you get the call quicker but it probably won't change their minds if they weren't planning on hiring you/moving you along in the interview process and you could just get the rejection letter quicker.

New hire here. He interviewed all of Hynes' hires around Thanksgiving and only hired about 40 of the 60. We all haven't even started yet.
