I would guarantee that all of those, save for the Sedgwick one maybe, are filled. HR people can take forever to remove job postings. For instance, Kirkland says they are looking for 3Ls on their site and I know for a fact they are done.

I got an e-mail from a previous mass mail. I have since found a job. Just said that the SF office is now looking for a 2014 summer law clerk in L&E.

IDK what it is that keeps HR so busy they can't update those listings. I respect them and they always present themselves well, but I get the impression things like this would take 10 seconds.

2014 Summer Associate

The Law Department of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation is staffed by 32 lawyers and an additional 50 support personnel. Housed within the Cleveland Clinic’s Law Department are the legal staffs of the affiliated hospitals of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. The attorneys practice law in a wide variety of practice areas including medical malpractice, risk management, hospital law, clinical research, medical education, commercial transactions, real property, tax- exempt organizations, fraud and abuse, managed care contracting, labor and employment, and corporate compliance.

The summer associates are required to complete a prescribed regimen of hand-on-activities in all of the major areas of practice. The clerks are given the opportunity to attend various hospital committee meetings.

Cleveland Clinic’s Law Department is now accepting applications from second year law students for the 2014 Summer Associate Program. Special consideration will be given to those law students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the health care field.

ABLE and LAWO are affiliated non-profit law firms serving northwest and west central Ohio that offer high-quality legal services in civil matters to low-income individuals and groups in order to achieve self-reliance, equal justice, and economic opportunity. ABLE is an unrestricted legal services firm.
ABLE and LAWO attorneys provide legal assistance in a wide range of civil areas. ABLE and LAWO represent victims of domestic violence, tenants being evicted, homeowners in foreclosure, individuals seeking public benefits and appropriate healthcare, and students who lack appropriate educational opportunities. ABLE and LAWO attorneys handle individual cases and large-scale litigation in state and federal courts, and work on policy issues.
These positions provide valuable practical experience to students seeking careers in public interest law. In addition to traditional research and writing assignments, each Associate will receive training on major poverty law areas and gain additional knowledge of the practice of law through court observation and meetings with local attorneys and judges. Experienced attorneys will mentor Associates on how to excel in a public interest law career.

This might be merely anecdotal, but several recruiters/recruiting committee members have indicated to me that 3L hiring will be up this year and/or that 2014 will be a big year.
