And re; q#1 - seriously, do not fly to NY. Take the Acela Express from Union Station; arrive at 34th st in Manhattan instead of Newark NJ or Queens. Just don't schedule your train for the same day as an earthquake like yours truly

I stupidly scheduled a flight thinking it would be faster, but as soon as I hung up the phone I realized all the extra hassle involved in taking a flight.

OP: That's what I have been doing, scheduling the Acela Express but some of the firms' in-house travel people seemed to be irked by my decision not to fly and stay the night. Was wondering if people would ask me why I took the train that morning and didn't opt to fly and/or stay the night.

Interview went very well-- have prior work experience in desired field. Rather not say grades, but generally are well above their past GPA median.
