Just got a cb to Dewey & LeBoeuf NY office via snail mail. (JR)

Anyone heard from Weil Gotschal NYC office yet?

To date this makes 3 cbs.

Has anyone done a Jenner (Chi) CB yet? I just got my schedule and it's a 1:30-4 pm deal. No mention of dinner afterwards. Lunch or dinner has been a part of my CBs elsewhere. Is this just implied or does Jenner not do the wine 'n dine thing? Does anybody know? (Please no snark on this. I would like to attend a wake that evening, and need to consider whether to reschedule or at least prepare the family for the possibility that I can't make it.)

I didn't have a Jenner CB, but my other afternoon CBs come with "coffee" afterwards rather than lunch or dinner (and so take less time than a lunch or dinner would). Best advice would be to call the coordinator and just ask. You can also feel free to decline coffee or dinner, especially if you have a reason for wanting to be out early that you can give.

I had a morning CB there and did lunch, but I think that add-on is generally just skipped for afternoon interviews (when I scheduled an interview elsewhere, the HR rep specifically mentioned that they did morning interviews that included lunch and afternoon interviews that were just 2 hours of interviews).

Edit: Also, my schedule for Jenner specifically noted lunch and who I would be eating with, so if yours doesn't mention it, it's probably not included... they seemed pretty methodical about the whole interviewing process.

Hey, I don't go to U of C or any school near Chicago but am interested in Chicago firms. I've heard from others at my T6 that the Chicago market is taking much longer than some other markets to bounce back from the financial crisis. I was wondering if you guys are getting that vibe from the local firms. How many summers do you gather that firms like Kirkland, Sidley, and Mayer are taking this year? Are they still significantly backlogged from overhiring? Do you think there's a chance that the Chicago giants will defer our class or if we'll be competing for end of summer offers?

Thanks for any input guys. There are almost no buzz about Chicago at my school and the OCS advisor point blank told me she knew sh*t about the Chicago market.
