Supposedly Gibson had a dinner, so I'm assuming I have an unofficial ding from them. Steptoe and Hogan have made CBs.

I got a Gibson CB without being invited to the dinner, and in past years I have heard of people who were invited to the dinner getting dinged, so I don't think it necessarily guarantees CB or ding.
