Re: Pre-OCI 2021
For STB, it seems like if you’re a lock, it’s about 2-3 days from CB. However, ITT people have reported a week+ to offer. In 2019 they gave some June interviewees offers in early July (second week) as well. It seems if you’re not a lock, they want to interview a few more people before considering you and that can take an additional 1-2 weeks.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 1:26 amDoes anyone have a timeline for STB callback —> offer? And did anyone else get a Cleary CB? For both: relative stats? Thanks!

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
Hell I'm just thankful to have an offer at a great firm. I've already engaged in pre-OCI with the firms I'd consider choosing over my offer. They could have told me to decide in a week and I'd still be stokedAnonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:20 amWho? Name and shame. Then again unless you're a top firm you probably can't because the very best candidates just won't pre-OCI with you. Nobody in the top 20% at a T14 is locking themselves into some random V50 without seeing what they can get at OCI.

Anyone find it interesting that the NYC based firms are starting to move in DC, but crickets from the top DC firms? Maybe they think it’s harder to pull top students away from the DC powerhouses?

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
The firms don't give a damn about NALP or school policies. I had a recruiter tell me that outright once, much to my amusement.
They hire a ton of people from my school. The chances OCS kicks them out of OCI for not following some BS rule about offer deadlines? Zero. And they know it.

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
Right, the point was not that STB has given only an offer or two and that everyone is reporting them here, but that OP's timeline is just not at all accurate based on the offers that actually have been reported here.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:22 amI know a bunch too, but they all took more than two days. Seems to take a week or so.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 5:59 amMy dude I know of 5 STB offers at my school alone. Please don't make the mistake of extrapolating from the posts here.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 7:47 pmYeah this is pretty much all wrong. Maybe this is true come actual OCI but pre-OCI timelines are a lot different so the comparison to the Winter OCI thread doesn't really hold. Literally today someone reported an offer from DPW over two weeks after CB, and other people have reported rejections from DPW. There's no way that single person could have been waitlisted and gotten an offer after "enough of their top candidates decline[d] offers" given how few interviews they've conducted at this point.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 6:20 pmThis thread is starting to resemble this past Winter OCI thread...
Sorry to break the bad news but most of these firms referenced in this thread have been giving out offers for the past 2 weeks now. Including in DC.
If you don't hear back within 2-3 business days after CB, you're either a) "waitlisted" and will be considered only if enough of their top candidates decline offers; or b) (the more likely scenario) you have already been rejected and recruiting is simply ghosting you. Or you will get a mass email with the other rejected candidates when they decide to send it all out at once.
I think a single person (maybe 2?) reported an STB offer even though STB has been interviewing for weeks. Some firms have explicitly instructed interviewees to not be surprised if it takes weeks to hear anything.

A classmate of mine just got an offer from a firm in DC. One day turnaround from CB to offer. DC is moving quickly.

What does a rejection less than 24 hours of a CB mean? I interviewed with a v10 yesterday and thought it went super well. I previously met with a lot of associates and the managing partner offered me the CB after a networking/screener meeting. I can't help but think the CB wasn't even taken seriously because i was rejected so fast.

Yes, after my screener I sent my resume and transcript to the partner and got the callback scheduled. Re: Pre-OCI 2021
Assuming this is NYC it’s probably your grades/school; 3.5 from vandy seems like it would be a reach for any of the NY V10s based on my experience. but you maybe rubbed someone the wrong way. Either way, don’t let it keep you from shooting your shot and grinding for other offers. If they didn’t want to offer you, you probably wouldn’t have enjoyed working there anywayHamilton51 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 2:25 pmYes, after my screener I sent my resume and transcript to the partner and got the callback scheduled.
