I'm hoping that a lot of people are pending b/c there's not much space due to pre-OCI offers, but as people withdraw space might open up. Hopefully. Maybe.Anonymous User wrote:I think that sounds right. Yeah, as said in another thread, it's seemed to be a little feast or famine. And people with 10 callbacks may cancel some after they receive an offer, which should result in other people being considered. Chin up. Nothing is over yet. Keep networking.Anonymous User wrote:I'm hoping that a lot of people are pending b/c there's not much space due to pre-OCI offers, but as people withdraw space might open up. Hopefully. Reach out to GULC alums at firms that weren't at EIW, especially if you have a home market where there are firms that didn't attend EIW. Reach out to people at midsized law firms. Don't give up on firms that attended EIW but you didn't interview with. If someone would go to bat for you, they may still consider you. Talk to your summer boss and see if they can connect you with anyone.Anonymous User wrote:How do you network at this point?
Also, look into GIP and other interviewing programs. It really, really sucks for people who are big law or bust to have EIW not shake out for them. And it feels like big law is the only option right now because our peers are (understandably) obsessive about FIRMS. However, there are a lot of solid legal jobs outside of big law and, for a significant number of people, those jobs will actually be a better fit. There will definitely be people who look back and realize EIW not working out was the best thing that ever happened for them and their career.
