Thanks. I'm a good interviewer but I was surprised at how well screeners went, given the info OCS gave us about people in my grade range. I guess I'm just an outlier--WE, lots of interview experience, etc. To be honest, I would chalk up much of my success so far to being really relaxed and treating interviews like low-stakes conversations.

Did all Paul Hastings interviewees get the voluntary self-ID survey? I saw a rumor in another school's thread that this precipitates callbacks or offers or something but I'd be pretty surprised. I've had radio silence till now

I think everyone who has a screener gets it. I got the survey and then the ding email the next day (duke)

I've noticed my callback interviews have the partners talking a lot more about themselves and their practice areas than the screeners. It feels like I am saying, "yeah" and nodding for 15 -minutes of the interview sometimes.


Did anyone else notice this? I had 2 on Th/Fri so far that turned out like this so I guess I won't really know until mid next week if this is good or bad.

Thinking about trying to be more engaging but it just seemed really hard. My partner interviewers talked so much and barely looked at my resume.


Talking with associates was usually easy and great though.
