Got my Covington and Latham dings in the mail. Both for the DC offices and my interviewer initials were L.S. and N.G., respectively.

Do you get contacted by firms that you didn't interview with, but that you visited in the hospitality suites and dropped off resumes with? I dropped off a few resumes at firms I didn't get interviews with and I haven't heard anything one way or the other.

Re: Georgetown EIW 2014
I've been wondering this as well. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I went to all of the hospitality suites. Most said that they were going to try and let people know by this Friday so fingers crossed for some movement tomorrow.Anonymous User wrote:Do you get contacted by firms that you didn't interview with, but that you visited in the hospitality suites and dropped off resumes with? Norton and Gibson both had dinner receptions. Not sure if those amount to a callback or what though.Anonymous User wrote:I wish DC firms would make their moves already...still waiting on K&L, Norton, Gibson, Arnold, McDermott, and Kirkland!!!!!!!

People in this thread have gotten callbacks from Gibson/Kirkland DC, at the very least.Anonymous User wrote:I wish DC firms would make their moves already...still waiting on K&L, Norton, Gibson, Arnold, McDermott, and Kirkland!!!!!!!

Ip only: received email ding from Cooley today (applied to DC/Reston offices). The subject title was "Cooley interview." What a thing to receive on a Sunday; now I'm depressed about my callback tomorrow.

I wouldn't be too disappointed. I got a callback from them and scheduled my interview at the earliest possible time slot..... September 10... so I think there's little luck for those with Cooley callbacks from GULC anyway.Anonymous User wrote:Ip only: received email ding from Cooley today (applied to DC/Reston offices). Yeah, cbs from gibson, Arnold and porter and Kirkland. Doesnt mean you're dinged though, maybe just on hold!Anonymous User wrote:People in this thread have gotten callbacks from Gibson/Kirkland DC, at the very least.Anonymous User wrote:I wish DC firms would make their moves already...still waiting on K&L, Norton, Gibson, Arnold, McDermott, and Kirkland!!!!!!!

This goes without saying, but you need to stop being depressed about tomorrow's callback right now. Let the ding roll off your back and get on your game for the callback.Anonymous User wrote:Ip only: received email ding from Cooley today (applied to DC/Reston offices). But, to be realistic, it probably means you're dinged. Be sure to focus your energies on other firms and on mass mailing, if necessary.Anonymous User wrote:Yeah, cbs from gibson, Arnold and porter and Kirkland. The whole mass-mailing thing does not work very well except strong tie with the area to be mass-mailed to or high GPA.Anonymous User wrote:But, to be realistic, it probably means you're dinged. 100% true. I feel like people who have CBs coming up should block out TLS and/or talking to law students about CBs for like 72 hours prior so they don't stray off their game.Anonymous User wrote:This goes without saying, but you need to stop being depressed about tomorrow's callback right now. And, most firms have a target number for each of the top schools, so having a later callback shouldn't hurt your chances as against students from other schools.Anonymous User wrote:how could this possible, GULC has one of the earliest EIW.Anonymous User wrote:I wouldn't be too disappointed. Real, although it may not be universal and may be more of a target range than a hard number. Is this real, or just some rumors in the air?

Has anyone heard of people getting post-OCI interview requests resulting from hospitality suite resume drops when they didn't interview with the firm at all during OCI?
