I understand why this info is valuable, but especially with the smaller/boutique firms who may only be extending 2 or 3 cbs? Posting all of this info - even anonymously - makes me uncomfortable. Please don't yell at me if I just post the firm, ok?

I know quite a few people at and BELOW median with MULTIPLE callbacks. I'm sorry you are getting nothing at top 15%, but while GPA is clearly very important, it IS possible to overcome a lower GPA with firms.

There are multiple people in the 3.1-3.3 range last year who got offers through EIW without "major connections." Your chances are obviously lower, but it does happen.

I'm not claiming to be any authority on the matter, but I doubt these guys got "pity callbacks," and they do NOT have connections of any sort.

I'm not the only person in this grade range having this experience either. And CPC gave the ok on my bidlist and I even ran it by some 3Ls. So yeah if things are this shitty in the 15-25% range then I just assume something is going on with the submedian kids you know. I know of one person below median who has CBs and (s)he got them by meeting some dude who's been getting him/her in everywhere. I'm sure (s)he's reading this too.

Maybe that top 15% person did many mock interviews through his/her summer program and they all said it was great. Maybe that top 15% person had some great interviews where both parties were laughing and shit then that top 15% person got rejected as some aspie fuck got a cb who had a slightly higher GPA.

Yeah well I didn't even speak during my interview, he spoke the whole time. As happened with others. So I don't think it was for a lack of interview skills with Clifford. Maybe they want someone from India or Brazil. Maybe they look for people who spent a year in Uganda. I dont know. I just don't fucking know. #justsaying.

How long until its time to give up on a firm...

I mean I've gotten 1 cb and 5 rejections so far but all of the rejections are from firms that were just resume drop offs (most of them at hospitality tables)... Still waiting for like 20 firms right now but most have given out at least one CB already according to this thread.

Also, if a senior partner said on campus they'll call you back but you've gotten silence since, when is it time to worry?
