Honestly I think it's more that EIP is feast or famine...like that other person was saying....most people either have double digits or less than four. I'm at median with four CBs from EIP, and I'm really nervous.

interesting...i'm at around median with six. while i'm really happy to have them, i'm definitely worried about converting CBs into offers, and i don't feel like six is enough to be completely secure (especially after reading the six callback thread and hearing about people who went 0/6 in the past).

for the poster who said our callbacks may be getting screwed by HLS EIP- did you mean that they're not going to call us back b/c they'd rather call back harvard people over us, or that they're being slow in getting the callbacks out b/c they're busy dealing with both EIPs? hopefully the latter...

my theory is that the middle firms - i.e. the ones who haven't made calls - are going to try to trade up. top firms and bottom firms will get the same crop of people anyway from both schools, but middle firms will try to see who they get at HLS before they make CLS calls.

of course, it may also be that the recruiting team is just swamped trying to deal with HLS EIP... especially because many HLS kids are interviewing for NYC firms, so you'd have to bring the NYC recruiting team up to Boston, which then of course precludes them from discussing CLS candidates. either way, by the time they get around to CLS kids, we're going to be in the same pool for comparison as HLS. HLS EIP goes until the 19th so buckle your seatbelts and hang on for the ride, kids.

what do you mean by middle firms?

speaking very generally and vaguely:
top = v10-20
bottom = v50 onward
middle = everything in between

of course this is all my own speculation, but it seems to fall in line with whom we know has given cbs so far.
