Just got an offer ~1 hour after I'd completed CB. My first CB; my top choice going into callback season. Exciting!! . Don't want to out myself/them.

Which city?/ a clue?

San Fran. Out here all week running through some CBs with the top Cali firms.

Whew, don't feel like such a failure on my NY callbacks yet.....
Is this common though? Or do most firms wait for a hiring committee to meet/discuss?

Just an FYI, you already outed yourself to the firm and the firm if they care would know you posted this. Might as well say the firm.

Very few people interviewed in Ca today from Georgetown and got an offer around an hour after the interview, therefore it is safe to say you are unique and any firm would know this is you. Might as well put the firm initials.

BTW, Congratulations.

Thanks for making me feel like an idiot Glad you aren't my opposing counsel. Still, I'm more concerned about giving out information on the firm's inner-workings to people on the internet than I am about having the firm know that they were my top-choice before the CB.

Call from Chadbourne at 9:30PM. Did not answer...no message was left on my voicemail, called the number back and it took me to a general secretary that could not help me. Freaking out that I missed it. Are CBs never made over voicemail?? Grrr i hope they call tmrw.

Yea im not happy about this. I mean firms dont call to reject you do they? So I cant help but think this was a good thing...even with the lack of VM. Keeping fingers crossed

If you are that impatient, just call the general number for the firm and ask to be transferred to atty recruiting.

All of my CBs have been VM. I've never heard of a rejection call. They aren't going to waste their time calling you back until you answer to reject you.

All of my CBs have left voicemails. I have heard of some rejecting by phone but it is very unlikely. Good luck.

I left a message for the NY recruiter last night..I will call again if I get nothing by the afternoon.
