Paul Sevanich, attorney recruitment manager at Finnegan. I'm waiting on a decision from Finnegan as well, interviewed with them last week as well. Thought it went really well, but am now nervous that I haven't heard back.Anonymous User wrote: Who is Paul?

Yeah I was surprised by it too. I figured I had a good chance since they were only interviewing one day for the boston office and the interview felt like it went really well.Anonymous User wrote:ding from wilmer boston here too..did anyone actually get a callback from them?

Me too. I've heard zip from the other 9. I had a really good feeling about 4, including Finnegan, so suddenly I am a bit hopeful.Finnegan emailed me for a callback yesterday.
I wonder how many get called back for each position...

I think it was just the interview team - there'll be congenial people everyone clicks with, and from there it's probably a crapshoot. I felt good too but thought everyone likely would. Ah well.Anonymous User wrote:I'm feeling nervous now - Finnegan was one of the ones I felt good about.Anonymous User wrote:Me too. I've heard zip from the other 9. After all is said and done, maybe. I'd 100% be outing myself if I posted 2 of those things, and even 1 might be enough to out me.turbotong wrote:Interested in following this thread.

Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
My interview wasn't at PLIP, which makes me substantially more nervous, especially since a friend of mine already has a callback. Can't really say more without revealing who I am.Anonymous User wrote:I think it was just the interview team - there'll be congenial people everyone clicks with, and from there it's probably a crapshoot. Well I can see how it would out you if you state which firms you received callbacks from.Anonymous User wrote:I think it was just the interview team - there'll be congenial people everyone clicks with, and from there it's probably a crapshoot. Would it out you if you stated 2 or 3 of those categories + number (or range such as 1-3, 3-5, 5-10, 10+) of callbacks you received, not stating the firm names?

Does it really matter what their grades/school/background was? Too late to change any of that now.

i think he is implying that P(callback) is greater if you have a better resume. its probably less true at PLIP because of pre-selection but i think this is accurate for lottery schools.Desert Fox wrote:Does it really matter what their grades/school/background was? If you're a 0L looking for info, I'd just wait until people start getting final results. There was a long thread last year where people gave # of screeners, CBs, offers, grades, school, interview ability, ties, and random things they thought played a role.turbotong wrote:Well I can see how it would out you if you state which firms you received callbacks from.Anonymous User wrote:I think it was just the interview team - there'll be congenial people everyone clicks with, and from there it's probably a crapshoot. Yea, but what good is it to try to collect the data. The interviews already happened. The sample size is truly small.englawyer wrote:i think he is implying that P(callback) is greater if you have a better resume. its probably less true at PLIP because of pre-selection but i think this is accurate for lottery schools.Desert Fox wrote:Does it really matter what their grades/school/background was? Finnegan specifically, or firms in general? This really depends on the firm. Given a hypothetical 10 positions, some might call back as few as 20, while others might call back as many as 200.Anonymous User wrote: I wonder how many get called back for each position...

You also though have to remember they might offer 4 people for every 1 spot. Since many people get many offers.Anonymous User wrote:Finnegan specifically, or firms in general? Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
I can't believe I'm asking this, but is it expected to send a thank you (email?) to interviewers? It honestly just didn't occur to me to do so, and it seems like it's too late now.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
