French press works great for me, especially once I got a grinder (to get coarse-ground beans that don't clog the filter) and a fancy kettle (to get the water slightly below boiling, at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which reduces bitterness). Only real downside is that they can be finicky to clean but that seems to come with the territory for any kind of high-quality DIY coffee.

I bought an OXO burr grinder a few years ago and its made coffee-brewing so much easier/more enjoyable. I can't believe I used to grind beans by hand...

- Premium office chair
- Housekeeper
- Moving to a quiet NY neighborhood (rent is lower, area is convenient, just known as "boring")
- Lululemon athleisure

Still looking for a decent meal service -- did Freshly, s/o didn't love it. And Blue Apron etc don't actually cook the food, which is what we're looking for.

If anyone has a Freshly replacement, would love to hear about it
I like Freshly but the salt content in their food was way too high - but needed since it was a preservative. We have some local options in Detroit that are pretty low on the sodium but localized. Depending on where you live (I assume NY) maybe look to some of the local restaurants. Due to COVID a few started doing that and I've been using it as a replacement for Freshly/Blue Apron.
