If you're going to send a thank you email, I'd send it the same day around 6pm or so. Maybe the next morning at best. These recruiters will be chatting with people in hospitality suites/reviewing resumes/traveling back and forth to work from the firm and meeting with kids who were already called back from other OCIs...they won't remember who you are 36 hours from your conversation

This is without addressing the efficacy of a thank you email

I think I need a hug. T2, top 10%. I've had 10 screeners and 0 callbacks. I'm mass mailing but worried it's too late in the game.

Agree that same day is necessary. Also, this isn't a time for coyness. If you arn't successful in getting a screener at the hospitality suite but the firm doesn't close the door on it completely, be aggresive in your "thank you" email, which is sort of a misnomer because they haven't actually done anythjng for you that warrants a thanks.

E.g. "It was great to chat with you and (attorney or two) today about [topic that hopefully prompts them to remeber you]. Speaking with Z lawyers confirmed my interest in firm X. If you have any flexibility this week, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to interciew for your X office. I would be glad to meet before/after interviews/briefly during lunch if that works best for you...."

Way too early to conclude that you have struck out. Have multiple close friends who copped post oci callbacks and offers from mass mailing between September and November. Keep your heads up and keep hustling

Not too late. IMO, unless you are a ridiculously stellar candidate, mass mailing right after or during oci has a much better shot at working out than mass mailing pre oci

When you say mass mailing during/after OCI, do you mean to firms you haven't previously mass mailed or sending apps out again to the same places that either dinged you or didn't respond?
