Has anyone's references been contacted yet?
I have a reference who has been keeping me posted -
DANY contacted mine between rounds one and two (about halfway between when I interviewed and when I heard back), Brooklyn between two and three (after I had three scheduled). Queens doesn't request them until round three.

When did BK let you know about 3 (in terms of how long after 2nd, not what actual date)?

Anyone here also applying for clerkships?
Do (NYC) DA offices allow you to defer for clerkships? Even if it's only NJ state clerkship?

Recently had two rounds with Miami-Dade SAO. The hypos were super intense. You had better know criminal procedure like the back of your hand.

Even though I know a number of attorneys, I do not know anyone working in the DA office, so what is the pay (or pay range)? Metro sized, but the bottom rung of a top 10 market (i.e., Miami/Atlanta).

In terms of NYC, my last interviews were almost a month ago. No news is good news?

Different anon than above. I got a phone call today to schedule Queens first and second rounds together.
I'm a write in candidate (didn't apply through OCI) so my timeframe for first rounds has been a little different.
But so far... Had DANY and BX second rounds last week. I interned at both, so had first rounds months ago.
No news on BK, but I just called them and they said that I'm still in the running and they would be calling to get me in asap.

I suspected that the pay was substantially lower than market, as in $75K. But 20 an hour is stunningly paltry. I suspect that the upside is that the tuition debt payment must be amended.

For 2014, the starting salary for newly admitted bar members is 51,956.
FWIW I know someone there and it doesn't really go up too much after a few years either.

Had my BX second round last week. No hypos, all behavioral Q's. Thought it to be a bit weird.

Had BX 2nd round last week. They called 3 days after the 1st round to schedule round two, so I'm hoping I get a call back soon.
BK and DANY 2nd rounds scheduled within the next 2 weeks.
Does anyone know if you get an offer how long each office gives you before you make a decision?
