Does "not invited" mean no preselect/alternate? Can that status change if firms haven't decided yet? Also interested in how lottery works/when it begins.

It said "not invited" before, now pre-select. So don't lose hope on those firms who haven't made their selections yet.

Why do you assume that lottery interviews get no callbacks? Sure they didn't preselect you but they had a limited number of screeners to give out, and you could hit it out of the park at an interview obtained through the lottery

Look into Airbnb if you do get interviews and need cheaper housing
