Does "not invited" mean no preselect/alternate? Can that status change if firms haven't decided yet? Also interested in how lottery works/when it begins.

sorry, i just wasn't sure if a name not being on that list necessarily implied that it was already out

Same anon. It's cool. You actually bring up a fair point. A friend of mine just confirmed he got WilmerHale despite it being on that list.Anonymous User wrote:sorry, i just wasn't sure if a name not being on that list necessarily implied that it was already out

Does anyone have some reasonable speculations as to when everything will be out? (as in, do you think it'll be the end of the day, tomorrow, or we'll just never know till they say/the 6th...)

For those seeing new pre-selects, did "not invited" turn into pre-select/alternate or did you never see a "not invited"?

It said "not invited" before, now pre-select. So don't lose hope on those firms who haven't made their selections yet.For those seeing new pre-selects, did "not invited" turn into pre-select/alternate or did you never see a "not invited"?

Good point. Lets see how the lottery pans out.Anonymous User wrote:Why do you assume that lottery interviews get no callbacks? Sure they didn't preselect you but they had a limited number of screeners to give out, and you could hit it out of the park at an interview obtained through the lotteryAnonymous User wrote:Welp guess I struck out.
Is it worth going to SF for any interviews I may get in the lottery? I assume lottery interviews get no callbacks and are just cursory.
Would your opinion change if I was going to SF anyway but going for this fair would mean a couple hundred dollars in hotel bookings?
Look into Airbnb if you do get interviews and need cheaper housing
