Has anyone been invited to their firm's holiday party? If so, how did it go?

While it is nice, I've used it zero times. I haven't even put music on it.

can't you stream Pandora or whatever over wifi?

have considered getting a shuffle just to use like at the gym since it's a lot smaller and less annoying than using a phone. less distracting

Clifford Chance sent brownies for Halloween. I felt like a kid trick or treating again and I was all about it.

Firms typically give these out by the end of November to people on the partnership track.

Jenner post-offer: a bunch of branded chotchkies that broke in the mail. But there was a nice pen and some fancy salted chocolate fudge from a fancy chocolatier that was delicious.

Holidays: a branded fleece pullover.

Simpson's gym bag came after offers were accepted back in September or early Oct.. so it's not really a holiday gift. Skadden's gym bags did come out very recently though.
I can confirm nothing from Simpson since the gym bag in September/early October. With all the bonus love they've been giving out, perhaps there's no holiday swag this year. I also honestly don't know when I'll use the gym bag. Using it for anything (gym, sports, travel) is going to get stares.

The most useful gifts I've seen so far have been the kindle, iPod shuffle, and starbucks gift cards (and other food items). Any swag with logos on it is not going to get used (or if it is, will likely get used very far away from the law school and anyone familiar with law firms).

Just got another Cravath gift in the mail. 8$ gift certificate for Aldi, a pack of Newports, and a couple of scratch-off lottery tickets.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
