Has anyone been invited to their firm's holiday party? If so, how did it go?

While it is nice, I've used it zero times. I haven't even put music on it.mmelittlechicken wrote:aren't ipods like totally useless?jbagelboy wrote:Debevoise sent ipods to candidates who accepted?

have considered getting a shuffle just to use like at the gym since it's a lot smaller and less annoying than using a phone. less distracting

Clifford Chance sent brownies for Halloween. I felt like a kid trick or treating again and I was all about it.

Jenner post-offer: a bunch of branded chotchkies that broke in the mail. But there was a nice pen and some fancy salted chocolate fudge from a fancy chocolatier that was delicious.
Holidays: a branded fleece pullover.

Re: Firm Holiday Swag
I can confirm nothing from Simpson since the gym bag in September/early October. With all the bonus love they've been giving out, perhaps there's no holiday swag this year. I also honestly don't know when I'll use the gym bag. Using it for anything (gym, sports, travel) is going to get stares.Anonymous User wrote:Simpson's gym bag came after offers were accepted back in September or early Oct.. so it's not really a holiday gift. Skadden's gym bags did come out very recently though.Anonymous User wrote:Skadden & Simpson with the nice gym bags. I actually plan on using mine.

Re: Firm Holiday (& other post-acceptance) Swag
The most useful gifts I've seen so far have been the kindle, iPod shuffle, and starbucks gift cards (and other food items). Any swag with logos on it is not going to get used (or if it is, will likely get used very far away from the law school and anyone familiar with law firms).GOATlawman wrote:Literally when the fuck ever will anyone ever wear the clothing with law firm logo on it?

Just got another Cravath gift in the mail. 8$ gift certificate for Aldi, a pack of Newports, and a couple of scratch-off lottery tickets.cookiejar1 wrote:CSM just getting shown up this year in the M&A tables, the bonuses, and the swag.nomsicles wrote:$20 *$ card from Goodwin.
