1914 pure billable + 38 pro bono + 145 client development which counts as billable = 2097

My nonbillable stuff (about 90 hrs) doesn't look bad I wrote articles and whatnot
Also I never turned down work and always went around looking for stuff to do when I got slow
People noticed that I think
Also I just finished yr 1 so less is expected of me

Re: HOURS CHECK
Hopefully it's 1950 and not 2000 so you don't have to bust out a 245 hr monthDesert Fox wrote:Yea I gotta basically unlimited hours. That would come out to a 9 hr day if you took a mere 4 days off so it's doable

Re: HOURS CHECK
1928.05 as of tonight. Back on track for over 2000 for the year after billing 83.25 hours the week of Thanksgiving
No billable requirement, either, so it's not something to "celebrate".

Re: HOURS CHECK
Generally speaking, what's the ratio of billable hour to actual time? As in, is it average to bill 45 minutes on the hour (therein 3/4) or something to that extent?

Re: HOURS CHECK
I don't think there is a ratio. You've got junk shit that doesn't count, like billing the hours, getting coffee, lunch, posting on TLS, CLEs and the occasional meeting. But if you bill 0 hours or 15, the amount of the junk doesn't increase.Anonymous User wrote:Generally speaking, what's the ratio of billable hour to actual time? So you've got the junk + 100% hours that actually work.

Re: HOURS CHECK
No real ratio but if I'm losing 15 mins of very hour I'm comin up way short for the dayAnonymous User wrote:Generally speaking, what's the ratio of billable hour to actual time? As in, is it average to bill 45 minutes on the hour (therein 3/4) or something to that extent?
Edit maybe not way short but def short of the 8 billed per day I aim for

Re: HOURS CHECK
for me it's more like fuck around on TLS for an hour and then grind relentlessly for two to make it up
