Takeaways: Get good grades, be likable, don't try to impress people with your "legal knowledge." I also didn't shower or shave the day that I got an immediate offer, so there's that. Finally, luck is a huge factor, so just hope yours is good.

Of course. That's a perfectly true observation, but one that anon didn't make. Being top of your class at a T10 gets you lots of callbacks ≠ everyone who can hold a conversation has a biglaw offer. The latter is just wrong and dumb.
