Well I look forward to my rejection notice, as I too had an 8/20 CB. C'est la vie, I suppose.

Considering standing in front of 1211 Sixth Avenue with a boombox over my head, gazing sincerely at the upper floors.

Got it a few days after my CB. Had same concerns but rsvp'ed, and got an offer a couple of days after that. Worked out for me so hopefully it's a good sign for you too.
Yea. I sure hope so. It's unfortunate that I can't attend, but Ropes is my top choice, so I hope they don't see my absence as a lack of interest.

anybody going to offer reception/dinner - are you bringing SO or going without guest? can't decide if bringing guest would be weird for dinner.

Also, is that school specific or are they flying you back to the office?

As someone still waiting to hear back, the fact that there are offer receptions going on is super depressing.

Agreed. Also please specify what office this is for when you post stuff like this. There's no sense for the rest of us to freak out if its for an office other than where we interviewed.

I also agree. My understanding is that offer receptions tend to be school specific and located in the city of the school, not the location of the office one interviewed at.

I see. Well whether it's school- or office-specific, people should specify for everyone else's benefit.

I don't get why everyone is freaking out over the offer reception when they should be freaking out over the fact that offers went out over the weekend. That seems much more solidly indicative of a ding for me...

Did anyone here say they received an offer over the weekend?

Has anyone with a callback on August 21st or later gotten an offer that wasn't within the next couple days (indicating auto-admit rather than maybe status)?

My suspicion is that you are dinged if you interviewed August 20th or earlier and haven't heard back.

Had Boston CB 8/20. Emailed the recruitment contact this evening. Received a pretty quick email rejection in response. He mentioned that a letter should be arriving soon. So I would assume that if you had a CB before the 21st and haven't heard anything, you can expect a rejection letter in the next few days.

Might you be willing to say whether you're a BC student and, if so, whether the recruitment contact is a certain J.D.? I also had my CB on the morning of 8/20 and expect that I'm a ding-in-the-making.

(Apologies for double-posting here and in the Boston CB --> Offer thread.)

I am not a BC student. In addition, I subsequently received an email rejection from the legal recruiting coordinator, so it's unclear whether this is what the other partner was referring to, or if I will also be receiving a rejection in the mail.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
