I know someone who got 3 but they were all secondary markets (Midwest). Nothing from NYC/DC firms yet.

I legit got a call for a 45 "screener" next week at an NYC firm that I had a full 30 minute conversation with the attorney at the firm's table. I'm from Chicago. They didn't offer to pay for flying to the screener, either... uhhhh, what?

NY. Would rather not specify since I'm guessing the sample size is pretty small for most firms.

Is lavlaw restricted to a certain tear of school? Obviously T14 will get a bump, just wanted to see if it's worth it if you're T20 aka wustl.

Slightly drunk at will edit later: because it's apparently more or a table system, is lavlaw super helpful for those that are very friendly/not socially awk?

also yep. It's way better than OCI for those of us who are social folk but inherently don't have much in common with the old, white, straight partners you sometimes get on campus.

I got one CB but had two other interviews there that I'm pretty sure I knocked out of the park. Fingers firmly crossed.

I'm the same poster you replied to...

Congrats on the CB, when is it scheduled? Mine is in two weeks.

For those who received Lav Law CBs, has anyone already had theirs?

If so, please share your experience.

I've since gotten all three, and they're scheduled across the next two weeks.

Seriously, the screener to CB ratio at LavLaw is beautiful.

This career fair is only worth it if you are Top 30%.

Would top 20% at WUSTL suffice?

It's certainly worth a shot. I don't see why anyone hunting for a job would turn down the chance for what is basically six hours of casual free range OCI screeners. At the very worst you've expanded your network and hopefully had a fun weekend in NYC.

I am below the top 30%, dropped off ~10 resumes, and got a callback with a V10. Definitely worth it.

^^^ Agreed. I don't understand why some are having difficulty understanding. Like any other OCI career fair, the higher your GPA and ranking, the better your odds- particularly for BigLaw. Lavender Law is no different.

That said, despite participating in other OCI career fairs, the callbacks I've received this OCI season resulted exclusively from my interviews at Lavender Law. These are all NYC BigLaw V100 firms.

Just in case having a ton of people say the same thing helps, I totally agree. The original anon poster is 100% mistaken, and I would encourage any LGBTQ rising 2Ls, of any rank and at any school, to take advantage of Lavender. Seriously. I'm walking proof that people not in the top 30% can CLEAN UP.
