Re: Law Firms' Amenities
Jenner Chicago
Disclaimer: I was a paralegal, so idk the rules for how much you have to bill to get dinner/cab, it was just a time cutoff for staff. Since no Jenner lawyers responded I thought I'd pipe in.
Location: River North (just barely north of the loop)
Cafeteria: pretty good
Gym: very small and not free for employees
Insurance Info: good
401k match: no
Cab home: if you work past 7:15 you can take a free cab home (if in Chicago) or to the train station (if you live in the suburbs)
Free meals: $25 if you work past 7:15. They started to get strict about this recently. You have to order food after 7:15 to the office, so you basically get free dinner only if you stay and wait for your food. They used to have a free dinner buffet every night at 7 which was awesome. RIP dinner buffet.
Other: Starbucks coffee on every other floor, off brand coffee on every other floor. $10 in house massages every few Wednesdays.

Dumb question, but does the firm have sufficient units to accommodate all associates?Anonymous User wrote:Fenwick associate here. Love this perk.Mr. Fancy wrote:Fenwick gives paid airfare for two and a condo for a week in Hawaii
Also how is Fenwick's "typical" perks - dinner reimbursement, gym, etc. Is there an "industry standard" in the Bay Area?

This private banking thing is news to me: is this something offered by all top firms, or only the ones with institutional BB clients? do they take it away when you leave?

Re: Law Firms' Amenities
got a career decision to make? lets make it based on the 8 pm vs 730 dinner policy. practicing attorneys should not respond to this madness.
